The steps listed below will guide you through setting up your computer to connect to neXband.
  1. From the Start menu, choose Control Panel.
  2. Click the Switch to Classic View icon.
  3. Double-click the Network Connections icon.
  4. Click the Create a new connection icon.
  5. Click the Next button.
  6. Select Connect to the Internet.
  7. Click the Next button.
  8. Select Set up my connection manually.
  9. Click the Next button.
  10. Select Connect using a dial-up modem.
  11. In the ISP Name field, type a name to identify your connection (ie. neXband).
  12. Click the Next button.
  13. In the Phone number field, type your local neXband access number exactly as it needs to be dialed.
  14. Click the Next button.
  15. In the User name field, type your email address.
  16. In the Password field, type your password.
  17. In the Confirm password field, type your password.
  18. Check the box next to Use this account name and password when anyone connects to the Internet from this computer.
  19. Check the box next to Make this the default Internet connection.
  20. Uncheck the box next to Turn on Internet Connection Firewall for this connection.
  21. Click the Next button.
  22. Check the box next to Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktopif you wish to have a shortcut to the connection on your desktop.
  23. Click the Finish button.
  24. Close all windows.
  25. From the Start menu, choose Connect To.
  26. Right-click your dial-up connection, then choose Properties.
  27. Click on the Networking tab.
  28. Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) in the This connection uses the following items list.
  29. Click the Properties button.
  30. Select Use the following DNS server address.
  31. In the Preferred DNS server field, type 206.156.254.3.
  32. In the Alternate DNS server field, type 206.156.254.9.
  33. Click the OK button.
  34. Click the OK button.
  35. Close all windows.
